Albino Hex
The queen of North American mayflies, the Hexegenia or Hex mayfly is only outclassed in size by one other species. Found across the United States burrowed into the silty bottoms of lakes and large rivers, the Hex mayfly nymphs will emerge to blot out the moon, forming swarms that can even be tracked by weather radar! Usually emerging at dusk and through the night hours, the large profile and light colors of the Albino Hex will produce trout 24 hours a day throughout this hatch of biblical proportions.
