UV Chironomid
The closest thing to a bulletproof fly pattern in your fly box, the UV Chironomid will empty a lake of trout before you need to switch flies! True in color and profile to a host of large chironomid species found in lakes, the clear ultraviolet resin coating these flies is a spot-on imitation to the semi-opaque skin of the natural inflated with gas and floating the insect to the surface to hatch. Don't be intimidated by the large size of these patterns. To catch large fish in lakes, many times large midge patterns such as the UV Chironomid are just what the fish are looking for!
