Probably the flashiest Attractor nymph in the fly box, the Rainbow Warrior lives up to its name and is wrapped in mirrored mylar and multi-colored dubbing.  This little fly is trout crack!  Fish it as a mayfly nymph, a stonefly nymph, a chironomid, or a mysis shrimp. This versatile pattern is close enough in size and profile that it can be fished to emulate a number of species.

Our Rainbow Warrior nymphs are tied with beadheads to help them sink into the zone where the fish hold.  This pattern is truly lethal on any water, during any season!

Dry/Wet:  Wet

Fly Category: Attractor Pattern

Family: Mayflies, Stoneflies, Midges & Chironomids, Scud, Shrimp,  & Sowbugs

Species: NA

Life Stage: Nymph, Pupa, Adult (Scud, Shrimp, & Sowbug)

    Worked when nothing else did

On a trip to some high Rocky Mountain lakes, several schools of cutthroat ignored everything I threw at them...until I put on this rainbow warrior. Caught eight of those cutthroats who couldn't resist this.

    Rainbow on Warrior

Went out last week for the first time this spring and landed a nice 18" rainbow on a rainbow warrior I recently purchased from Ascent. Great fly and a must have in any fly box.
