Sprout Midge
When trout start sipping midges just below the surface, the Sprout Midge is specially equipped to ruin that fish's day! Designed to imitate a midge or chironomid transitioning from pupa to adult, its slender body hangs below the surface while the wing and thorax ride in the film. This vulnerable profile makes the Sprout Midge especially effective when trout are feeding on emergers but ignoring fully formed dry flies. Fish it alone during a midge hatch or behind a larger dry fly when you need help spotting the take. For selective rainbow, brown, brook, and cutthroat trout, the Sprout Midge is a small fly that can produce BIG results!
