Mouse Rat
The most popular mouse pattern in the fly angler's box, the Mouse Rat is equally efficient at catching large trout as it is hooking bass and pike. This ultra-realistic rodent pattern will admirably imitate mice, voles, shrews, lemmings, and even a chipmunk if the fish are keyed into them!
For the best action, this pattern should be fished with a floating line, a short leader of heavy test (4' of 2x), jerkily stripped across the surface of the water.
