Stoneflies

Stonefly Patterns

The T-bone steaks of the trout world, the stoneflies emerge from the river every one to three years and dwarf most other trout foods. The stonefly nymph is marked by its two thick tails and antennas, while the adult is recognized by the two pairs of large, veined wings that are folded neatly and held flat across the back. Big flies catch big fish!
