Female Adams
A unique fly matching one of the most vulnerable ad productive life-cycles of the Mayfly, the Female Adams imitates the egg-laying spinner that has just returned to the surface of the water. While sharing many of the physical characteristics that make the Adams and Parachute Adams so effective, the abdomen of the Female Adams is tipped with a beacon-like dab of yellow to imitate the egg cluster of the spinner and to guide feeding trout through the murkiness of the river to their next meal!
Pro Tip: We’ve fished this fly with great success throughout the Midwest and East as a Lightning Bug imitation!
