If we had only one dry fly pattern to fish for every caddis hatch and were given some allowance to change up the sizes and colors, we would without a doubt choose the Elk Hair Caddis. The quintessential Generalist pattern, the Elk Hair Caddis can be used to match almost every caddis species in our water!

Elk Hair Caddis
Great classic fly! Quality hook and materials that withstand multiple hook ups! Have had good success with this one!

Good quality
The flies are made very well. Some of the best quality I’ve seen. Fished this fly on a few lakes. Caught a few rainbows and the fly held up. Hook never bent and the fly stayed intact. I would buy again.

Great Caddis
Very well done fly. Have already used a couple of them successfully. Ascent makes very good flies.
