Swimming Frog
You might as well cue the music from the movie Jaws when you start fishing the Swimming Frog pattern because frog legs are about to be on the menu! Large trout, bass, pike, and muskie love to stalk and eat frog! Frogs are found across the US in both rivers and lakes, and this diver-type top water pattern ducks and kicks beneath the surface of the water in a perfect imitation of this favored fish food. The feathers and rubber legs of this pattern kick and bounce as it is retrieved, while the weed-guard keeps the hook free as it is fished through weeds and brush.
For the best action, this pattern should be fished with either a floating or sinking line, a short leader of heavy test (4' of 20lb test), jerkily stripped through the surface of the water.
