Yellow Sally Stonefly Selection
Yellow Sally Stoneflies, also known as the "Little Yellow Stoneflies", can be found in rivers and streams across the continent and offer some exciting late summer dry fly action. This family of small to mid-sized stoneflies live up to their name with their vibrant yellow color. A touch of red is often incorporated into adult patterns to imitate the parasitic mites that often plague these stoneflies.
While the bright color of the adults makes them visible to both the angler and feeding trout, the nymphs of this family are prolific in many waters, providing great action throughout the year.
Our Yellow Sally Stonefly selection has been crafted to allow the angler to fish every life stage of this important stonefly species (Nymph and Adult; Male and Female).
The Small Selection will focus on the dominant life stages and includes 6 dry fly patterns and 6 wet fly patterns.
The Medium Selection expands upon both the dry and wet life stages and includes 12 dry fly patterns and 12 wet fly patterns.
The Large Selection exhaustively covers every life stage of the Yellow Sally, nails both the male and female specific patterns, and includes 18 dry fly patterns and 18 wet fly patterns.
The fly patterns included in this selection are:
- Beadhead Flashback Hare's Ear
- Beadhead Iron Sally
- Beadhad Lightning Bolt - Yellow
- Flint's Yellow Sally - Male & Female
- Yellow Sally Stimulator
The quantity of flies dedicated to each life stage is based on their importance to the fly fisher and feeding trout.
Fly box not included - selection will be packed in a recyclable container.
