Wet Caddisfly Selection
For all intents and purposes, caddis flies are aquatic moths. Like their terrestrial cousins, the caddis have larva and pupa life stages in which they are vulnerable to feeding trout and among the chief sources of food in many lakes and rivers. These relatively poor swimmers are easily dislodged by high flows, making them available to feeding trout, and a must have for the warm weather fly fisher!
The sizes, colors, and quanitites dedicated to each pattern have been selected to cover more caddisfly species with fewer flies.
The Small Selection includes 12 caddis larva and pupa patterns with no repetition in size or color.
The Medium Selection includes 24 caddis larva and pupa patterns and expands upon the sizes, colors, and patterns.
The Large Selection exhaustively covers the caddis larva and pupa patterns with 36 flies, and provides repetiton in size and color for the most important patterns and sizes.
The fly patterns included in this selection are:
- Jelly Cord Caddis Larva - Green & Yellow
- Better Buckskin
- Beadhead Breadcrust
- Chewee Caddis Emerger - Olive, Tan, & Cinnamon
