A must-have staple in every angler's fly box, the Juju Baetis is one of our favorite nymph patterns when matching small or immature mayflies.  The tightly-tied and slim profile makes it especially deadly for matching the baetis family (aka the Blue Winged Olive Mayfly).  The additions of a tiny wing pad and piece of flashback help this pattern to pop in the water.  We guarantee that the Juju Baetis will earn its keep in your fly rotation and will prove itself by producing more strikes with more fish landed!

Dry/Wet:  Wet

Fly Category: Generalist Pattern

Family: Mayflies

Species: Blue Quill, Blue Winged Olive, Caenidae (Angler's Curse), Red Quill, Trico

Life Stage: Nymph

Best service, great quality, good pricing

I am going down to deckers to fish this nymph and others that I picked up at Ascent. Hope my buddies aren't mad when I hook more fish :)

Great quality at a great price

While this review notes one specific fly, flashback juju baetis, I recently purchased a number of different flies, ALL were of excellent quality. Very impressed. And very uniform... with some other on line fly purchases I have made in the past the flies “sort of” looked alike but no such issue with Ascent. Ascent has become my “go to” for fly purchases.

    Jujubaetis-size 18 and size 22

Posted by Bruce Dickinson on 20th Feb 2019

No single nymph in Colorado is more important than the Blue Wing Olive or Baetis nymph. The spring hatch (can be delayed into summer in the high mountain rivers) is matched well with size 18s and the fall hatch are matched with size 22s. The Jujubaetis with epoxy coating the brown-black synthetic fiber abdomen closely resembles the thin natural nymphs with a bit of flash in the slightly larger thorax and wing case. Aspect's Jujubaetis is well-tied.
