The smaller cousin to the dragonfly, Damselflies are commonLY found in lakes and backwaters at every elevation. Hatching throughout the summer, the adults can produce explosive strikes, while stripping the nymphs next to weedbeds or along the margins of the lake will consistently produce big fish.
Our Damsefly selection has been crafted to allow the angler to fish every life stage of this important species.
The Small Selection will focus on the dominant life stages and includes 5 dry fly patterns and 7 nymph patterns.
The Large Selection will expand upon both the dry and wet life stages and includes 10 dry fly patterns and 14 nymph patterns.
The fly patterns included in this selection are:
- Braided Butt Damsel - Blue & Olive
- Bachmann's Damsel Nymph - Olive & Tan
- Damsel Nymph
The quantity of flies dedicated to each life stage is based on their importance to the fly fisher and feeding trout.
